Paper accepted at DIS2021. Learning from robotic artefacts: A quest for strong concepts in HRI

Excited to continue the collaborative effort with dr. Nazli Cila and Dr. Maria Luce Lupetti to bridge design research and Human-Robot Interaction Research. of papers. We analyzed 23 artefact-centered papers from the HRI conference to formulate two strong concepts and investigate how the foundational design epistemology about intermediate-level knowledge and RtD can contribute to other design-related disciplines to produce useful and valuable knowledge. Info about the presentation soon!

Conversational Futures Emancipating Conversational Interactions for Futures Worth Wanting.png

Presented paper at CHI2021. Conversational Futures: Emancipating Conversational Interactions for Futures Worth Wanting.

The paper focuses on the critical design of AI-driven technology and how to bring the human back into the equation. We present a vision for conversational user interfaces (CUIs) as probes for speculating with, rather than as objects to speculate about.

The ACM Conference on Human Factors in Computing Systems series of academic conferences is generally considered the most prestigious in the field of human–computer interaction and is one of the top-ranked conferences in computer science. Only top research and papers are accepted at the conference.
